I studied Computer Science and Visual Arts at Duke University, which helped me combine systems thinking with a craft-oriented way of seeing. I interned at an animation studio, did product management at Microsoft, and worked in user research at a VR startup before becoming a product designer.
These days, I'm drawn to early and growth-stage startups where I get to be involved in all parts of the product development cycle and see products launch from nothing. In past roles, I've gravitated toward industries not typically served by technology, where good design can have an outsized impact for people like shift workers, truck drivers, and job-seekers from non-traditional backgrounds. Currently I'm a staff designer at Grow Therapy, working on making mental health more accessible.
