I studied Computer Science and Visual Arts at Duke University, which helped me combine systems thinking with a craft-oriented way of seeing. I interned at an animation studio, tried product management at Microsoft, and worked in user research at a VR startup before I discovered and taught myself product design.
These days, I'm drawn to early and growth-stage startups where I can help products launch from nothing. I gravitate towards industries not typically served by technology, where good design can have an outsized impact for people like shift workers, truck drivers, and job-seekers from non-traditional backgrounds. Currently I'm a staff designer at Grow Therapy, working on making mental health more accessible.
